We are hiring a Contracts Specialist who will provide support within our Contracts Department for every phase of contract development from researching the legal regulations to negotiating the terms and preparing the final document. The successful candidate will collaborate with other corporate departments to evaluate bids and draft documents.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Support development, negotiation, and evaluation of company contracts on behalf of MGT. Ensure that both parties are complicit with the terms of contract and that contracts abide by local and federal laws.
  • Assist in reviewing MGT's Client and subcontractor agreements within established guidelines and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate. Assist internal customers with drafting agreements, as needed.
  • Monitor inbound email traffic to identify requests from internal and external customers. Triage inbound emails for required actions, urgency, and potential escalation to Finance Department leadership.
  • Prepare and update documentation, reports, and tracking mechanisms supporting contract management activities.
  • Write contract letters and other communications and notices.
  • Support the administration of the contract database and filing system, using consistent standards for data entry and document storage, including the input, verification, and maintenance of accurate data pertinent to MGT's CRM and other applications.
  • Create and maintain standard contract templates that support organizational goals and objectives. Ensure templates are available for company-wide access by relevant stakeholders.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Certificates of Insurance requirements by both internal and external customers.
  • Assist sales operations with interpretation of contractual requirements in RFPs and bid responses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, law, finance, or related field
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in accounting and contracts in corporate environment
  • Knowledge of contract law and familiarity with accounting principles and finance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven success and exposure to negotiations and mediations
  • Superior attention to detail to spot inconsistencies in contracts
  • Able to work productively independently and as part of a team
  • Skilled in time-management and task prioritization
  • Must be comfortable with management of highly confidential information with professionalism and unquestionable integrity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • Prior paralegal experience with a law firm preferred
  • Experience in a professional services or high-growth start-up environment preferred
